Christmas 2021

Currently all our planned services are going ahead.  If that changes, we will update this page, so please check before you travel.

We know we're not free from the pandemic yet, so we're still keeping some of the measures we've put in place to keep us all safe, but we're excited to be preparing to celebrate Jesus coming to be born among us, and we hope you'll be able to join us over Christmas for a service in church.

Please arrive using the door in from the car park, be prepared to use hand sanitiser and give your details for track and trace; and please do wear a face-mask which covers your nose and mouth throughout the service unless you are exempt.  We will be singing carols, but we are keeping our masks on for that too.  Sadly this year we will not be offering any refreshments after any of our services.

These are the services we have planned for the Christmas season.  We do hope you will join us!

Sunday 19th December, 6pm:  Carol service

The traditional service of carols, readings and prayers.  Though we'll be asking you to wear masks unless you're exempt, we'll still be singing our favourite carols, and beginning our celebration of Christmas.

Christmas Eve at 4pm: Children’s Nativity Service

Telling the story of Jesus’ birth.  Children of all ages particularly welcome.

Christmas Eve at 8pm: First Holy Communion of Christmas

The first service of Christmas, with carols.  We’ll be sharing the Sacrament of Holy Communion (in one kind only), and maintaining Covid safety measures, but we still want to celebrate the good news of Jesus' birth together.  We are not having a the first Communion of Christmas over midnight this year, but because night will have fallen, we can mark the beginning of Christmas with an earlier service, starting at 8pm

Christmas Day at 10am: Family Communion

We're holding a service on Christmas morning, suitable for all the family.

NB: Because we hope people will join us on Christmas Day, we will NOT be having a service in church on St Stephen's Day, Sunday 26th December.

We do hope you will join us!   Bine ați venit!

And from us all at ASQ, we wish you a very merry Christmas!
