We are a community very much focused on the Eucharist, which means that all of our regular services include Holy Communion. You are very welcome to receive Communion with us if you are a regular communicant in your home church.
Some of our services are more deliberately focused towards children, and our 10am service on the first Sunday of every month is particularly intended to be suitable for all ages. But everyone is welcome at all our services.
We have a small play area at the back of church that you are welcome to use with your children, and new members are always warmly invited in at Little Saints, our Sunday kids' group, which meets in the Hall for craft and Bible study and joins us in church for Holy Communion. But we understand that children will make a noise, and we welcome that as a part of having them in our church.
Our services are:
Sundays, 10am: Parish Holy Communion
This is our principal weekly worship service, and is a service of Holy Communion, involving prayers, hymns, Bible readings and a sermon. It usually lasts about an hour and ten minutes, and we share fellowship with coffee or tea and biscuits in the church after the service.
First Sunday of the month, 10am: All Age service
On the first Sunday of each month (apart from August and December), we have an All Age service which includes our Little Saints. It is a slightly shorter service with a particular emphasis on welcoming our children and young people. However, everyone is very welcome to all of our services.
Wednesdays, 10am: Holy Communion
This is a quiet, reflective service using the traditional Book of Common Prayer. We have a short homily and no hymns, and we share coffee or tea and a chat afterwards. The service usually lasts about half an hour.
Occasional other services
We also have services sometimes at other times. We sometimes hold an afternoon service on a Tuesday at 3pm for those who find it difficult to get here in time for a 10am service.
We also hold occasional Taizé services - if you're looking for a chance to spend a quiet and reflective time in the presence of God, this might be the right service for you, so why not come along and see if it refreshes your prayer life.
We hope to see you at a service soon, and look forward to welcoming you.
