It costs around £1,500 every week of every year to keep All Saints running as a church. Many of our parishioners come from modest backgrounds, and the majority of those who make regular donations to us give less than £5 per week. Our costs range from office costs (including a photocopier) to insurance to repairs to our buildings, as well as contributing our fair share to the Diocese, which funds our vicar and other activities we benefit from, including training. We would also love to do some works to make our church building more usable by the local community, including putting in new and accessible toilets, and upgrading our kitchen to include mains drainage.
COVID-19 has led to a significant shortfall in our income, which was already diminishing each year. We are only keeping running at the moment by eroding our savings, which have been built up through the generosity of previous generations. But we won't be able to continue to do that indefinitely, and once they're gone, they're gone.
We are therefore asking for donations, not to encourage you to feel guilty, but in response to our gratitude to God for his many gifts, including our church building here in Queensbury.
We are always very grateful for any contribution we receive to help us continue our work for the parish and our local community. If you are able to make a one-off donation, please click the button at the top of this page, and know that we thank you very much for your contribution. If you are able to fill in the Gift Aid form, we'll also benefit from an extra 28p for each £1 you give.
If you would like to become a regular supporter, that would be wonderful, and would help us in planning for the future. If you'd like to explore that further, please do get in touch with Rev'd Kate in the first instance. You can email her here. Also do get in touch if you're not able to give financially at the moment but you could help us in other ways, by giving your time or your talents.
However much you'd like to give, we're always grateful for the support in helping us do the work of God here in Queensbury. Thank you.
